  1. Ulduar came out. We killed the loot pinata, then the dragon. Pretty cool fight. Server up by 9:45, Dragon dead by 10:13 PM. Player below (Cartoon) is on Argentina time, so EST+1 Update: According to MMO-Champion.com, this is the WORLD FIRST Razorscale kill. Could still change as guilds send their info in, but still pretty cool. Grats everyone! Funny picture coming soon.
  2. Take note would-be raid leaders, the threat "If you die, I'll fucking kill you" works.
  3. A bit of PTR fun. We blew up Yogg Saron's Tyco RC-Racer. But hey we got a legendary item for our trouble (with figuring out who gets what car taking longer than the "boss"). Then a long time member commited an unspeakable crime. So we decided to go to Lothar and do 3 Drake Sartharion25 and get a few people their Gonna Go When the Volcano Blows at the same time. Also thanks to Carmenita for giving me the easiest piece of front-page fodder I could ever ask for... oh and grats!
  4. So a few days before Christmas, we decided to kill Sarth and his three friends all at once. Needless to say, server first. Grats Xanthar on your Twilight drake! It's not a sleigh pulled by eight tiny reindeer, but it's something! Also grats to Rehn (guild/horde first) and Kimah on Glory of the Hero and the Red Proto-drake!
  5. Our plasma disruptors > Malygos' photon torpedoes Next up: Sartharion with adds alive.
  6. I was honestly looking forward to a funny picture for every single boss in Nax. Really these things are awesome to make. I had a great idea for Four Horsemen, and an even better one for Heigan. So much for that plan. People talked a good game about this instance. Easy compared to Sunwell, but there is some really rough moments within it. All that is left is Malygos...
  7. Soon after it was followed by another server first! In the Auzzie edition of WoW, that is what Army of the Dead looks like. True story. Oh by the way, Kimah got it a day later, and beat most everyone on the server to 80 too. It's that tasmanian devil inherited tenacity at work!
  8. Well Wrath came out. No great server crashes (unlike TBC). Most everyone got to 80 relatively quickly. We got some server firsts along the way! Critical, crucial ones, which make us more awesome than anyone else. More awesomer than awesome itself in fact. It is all downhill from here. Heroics left and right. Raiding started soon after. Ho-hum. We've got the most important #1s of all. Grats to Insect and, err... Skroesec, poets, scientists, savants and humanitarians. p.s. It nearly killed me.
  9. What? A picture of me as Hitler (thanks Yo!) made looking at this page in the lab impossible Also! CONGRATS to Disntegrate and Warschild... Season 4 Gladiators. Wrath is a little over a week away. Only two more Sunwells and one more Heroic Kharazan Black Temple!
  10. Kil'jaeden kill #2 = Legendary Huntard Bow #1. Grats Carmenita! And props to Ein and Pallo for the plays of the month.
  11. In another fight Michael Bay would love, after many raid nights of painstaking "strategery" and attempts since August, Tyranny managed to eject Kil Jadaen the Deciever from our realm, secure his weapons of mass destruction, and stabilize the Lothar Economy. Inflation of the price of Mana pots, Gromsblood and Ghost mushrooms should reverse course. And we did it with 24 people up taboot. Since WotLK is right around the corner, we decided to summarize our strat in a few simple rules: Step 1: Deflector Shields deflect. Step 2: You won't get 75 virgins if you blow up your fellow raid members. Step 3: Dinosaurs were stupid. Human beings generally aren't. Ok, seriously now, this victory was the work of a great many people. 25 people were in the raid, but double that contributed to its victory, both present and former members. The majority of the guild, even if they were not in for the kill, got serious time on this boss, and everyone played a role in his defeat. This is as collective a victory as they get. While this is far from a comprehensive list, here is a few extra special recognitions I feel need to be shared: Atonement - for going Prot on yet another fight. Your ability to pick up clones before they were even called is a testament to your skill as a player. Poisongirl - for being a real sport going Shadow on a number of occasions (including the kill). Few players are good at every spec of their class! Unwound, Miogy, Tulani, Zergg, Draveth - Designed the healing solution to this fight and tweaked it to perfection. Landotroll - For coming off the bench, and flawlessly executing your role. Lithid, Kimposible, Claw, Warschild - Designed our DPS solution, and ever the source of fantatsic ideas and schemes to help us win. Honestly, this list is so incomplete, I feel like I'm selling everyone short. Every single member of the guild contributed to this victory, be it coming off the bench and filling in for a few nights, coming up with a breakthrough idea about how to solve a problem, farming mats, or offering alternative solutions to our existing plans. I'm sorely tempted to list the guild person by person, but let me just say, I'm lucky to be the guild shit caller of so many smart, hard working, talented raiders. Killing a boss doesn't make it worth it. You guys do. And a few people outside the guild we owe a lot of extra special thanks: Ippon (vindi), Cerqua(Vindi), and Varnick (HiJ)! So what now? Now we wait for 3.0, and for WotLK. This is the end of The Burning Crusade. This guild, started around when TBC came out, with a lot of different faces than are currently guilded today, has been successful in its two year goal. It passed the pre-TBC top horde guilds, cleared Kael'thas and Vashj pre-nerf. It farmed Illidan since mid October 2007. It saw people join, and people retire. It has many major victories and stinging defeats. It fell to second place on Horde, then roared back through Sunwell, and for the first time ever, with our M'uru kill (US #80), let a Horde guild be the number one guild on Lothar. And now, with this victory, for the first time ever, a Lothar guild has beaten the game before nerfs or the next expansion. But this is not the end. Wrath of the Lich King is before us. Raiding in it will undoubtedly be as different as TBC raiding was from classic WoW raiding. But of one thing I have little doubt: so long as we keep focused, motivated and organized, our victory here at the end of the Burning Crusade, and all the victories before it that was the work of the hundred or so people who have ever been a members of Tyranny/Anarchy, will be the beginning of something, rather than the end. Bring on Arthas! 12. Tonight, after 14 nights of attempts across since the end of May, 30 forum pages (about 500 posts) of strategy discussion, tens of thousands of gold in repair bills (estimated: 50k-80k) and consumables (especially Mana potion injectors, you junkies), a lot of heart and even more patience, we finally conquered the best structured and most demanding fight in TBC. It turns out, dodging motherfucking balls really is the key to victory. Luckily, we had the experts on hand to show us how it's done. It was a Server First, which is the first time Horde has cleared content before Alliance in the history of Lothar. So we let ourselves loose and celebrated a little! Mu'ru is the reason to raid. The overwhelming philosophy: economy of everything (time, DPS, healing, tanks, etc) made the most difficult aspect of this fight not just killing him before he killed us, but devising solutions to the countless challenges and nuances he presented against us. Through this victory, we came a more united, experieced, and strategic team. As players, this fight made us get better. Well done, guys and girls! Special recognition: Atonement - Ret Pally went tankadin again! Poisongirl - Never raided shadow before, and happily filled the void for this fight! Disintegrate, Lando, Ignitor, Mempo, Mowat - Incredible prolonged patience sitting out and raid buffs. <3 Unwound - Fight Timeline layout and healing ideas Mpfive, Zergg, Miogy, Deaco, Tulani - Major healing planning Ebnuzen - Group switching, raid organization, calls. Kimposible (a.k.a. Kimahrii), Aliengrey, Mowat and especially Lithid - Ranged DPS organization/transition planning. Onipallo - For being the most nimblefooted warrior I've ever seen. This is far from a complete list, and I'm not doing everyone justice. So much work went into killing this boss. It is the very definition of team effort. Every single person in the guild contributed in a major way to strategy, to perfection of the strat, to execution. It is the biggest win we've had in Tyranny, and now, here we are, 18 months later, and we just have one fight left in the Burning Crusade...
  13. Reports are arriving in just now from the front. Heroic Forces of the Lothar PVE Guild TYRANNY have liberated Ironforge from the despotic rule of Emperor Magni Bronzebeard. TYRANNY says that the the forces of Emperor Bronzebeard have long staged assassination attempts on President Thrall of the Free Democratic Horde Force and are continuing to engage in warcrimes in Alterac Valley where the seasoned SNOWTROOPERS of Emperor Thrall have routinely defeated and humilitated Heroic Free Horde conscripts. Furthermore, Emperor Brozeboard is accused of using GNOMISH REFUGEES as human shields through his puppet GNOMISH High Tinker Gelbin Mekkatorque by placing them as the only line of defense at Ironforge's weakest point of access. Reports from the front indicate both Emperor Magni and Mekkatorque have been slain. TYRANNY also reports that they encountered massive but ineffective resistance, most of which was focused upon their most heavily defended infantry, rather than the more vulnerable support and medical units. Tyranny Public Relations have provided the following media of their military incursions. As always, we'll keep you posted to the latest developments. http://i235.photobucket.com/albums/ee51/skroesec/ifraid1big.jpg http://i235.photobucket.com/albums/ee51/skroesec/ifraid2big.jpg http://i235.photobucket.com/albums/ee51/skroesec/ifraid3big.jpg
  14. Grats to Fadez, Bia and Disntegrate on their accomplishment! For the Horde! That's two Gladiator teams for Fadez this season and six overall. Way to represent!
  15. How to kill the twins bitches in 3 easy steps. Step 1) Bring your healing roster. Your ENTIRE healing roster. And make sure you have 5 shaman. Step 2) Threaten to dock anyone who "Allah Akbar's" the raid their age in DKP. Step 3) Seek strategic inspiration from the man who brought us Transformers. Everything must be AWESOME! (for those wondering, we killed them using the reverse strat). Congrats to Mowat and Myself on our Necks, Onipallo on his shoulders, Tekhar on his mace, Warschild on his T6 belt, and Claw on his PVP neck. Special Recognition: -Zergg, Lithid, Unwound, Mpfive, Imago, Warschild, Tulani for major strategery. -Kimposible (Kimahrii's hussy warlock) for tanking the fire bitch far better than I did. -Ebnuszen, creator of Ebly Boss Mods.
  16. After some last minute inspiration, we pull off a big win. Congrats to Tulani, Aliengrey and Onipallo on their boots, Shred on his pants, and Blizzard for milking their Dragon model for for the 87th time (and the second time in the 6 boss Sunwell!). Special Recognition: Zergg, Imago and Lithid for major strat ideas/fixes Yo: Epic offspec heals. Atonement: go go gadget pally-tank! Fadez: For messing up just a single breath call in two whole days of attempts. Pro, man! Well done! Next up, Tyranny does some twins.
  17. #2 on Server. #1 on Horde. Felmyst doesn't have long to live! Keep up the good work, Tyranny!
  18. It took twenty-six people (figure it out), but Brutallus ate floor. You'd think someone with two sword arms the size of 747 wings and the body of Barry Bonds would be the god of cleave. Not so. He just has this amazing habit of doing 33k dmg in 2 seconds. Brutallus is the kind of fight that makes raiding worth it. It is demanding in every single way, from every single angle. You need good gear, perfect raid balance, an effective strategy, and perfect execution by every single player. If group healers don't keep up, we wipe. If DPS doesn't keep up, we wipe. If certain abilities aren't used at the perfect time, we wipe. To succeed, DPS has to scrape the threat ceiling, and healers have to land critical heals inside of a second, accounting for lag. Every little advantage counts. A lot of hot air was said about RoS back in the day - how it was the most amazing fight ever. It's a cool fight, but it isn't Brutallus. We walked over RoS in two hours. Brutallus required every bit of talent, edge and smarts Tyranny had over two days and major strategy changes, and we won because of it after two heartbreaking <1% wipes. Hats off to everyone in the guild. This was a major victory for us. Take what you learned, and apply it as we move forward. Oh yeah, we're recruiting some classes. Applicants must be good to raid during the summer. Fill out an app! 1x Resto Shaman 1x Holy Pally 1x Shadow Priest
  19. Perfect execution wins the day. Great job by all involved. First new non-ZA boss kill since October. Brutallus won't be far behind!
  20. OMG. Great job guys! I knew you could do it! We were so close last reset. WTB 30 seconds!
  21. HAHAHA. God help me, I'll never see anything else in that picture now. Thanks cerq! ;D
